Where are the Arctic cities located, who lives there, who planned them, and how can we imagine their future? This book describes the history and design of Arctic cities, which have been shaped by colonialism, indigenous peoples, resource extraction, and welfare thinking. It also looks at how globalisation and geopolitics are impacting the future thinking of small urban communities in the north.
